Hi! I am a drummer, percussionist, audio engineer, and sound designer based in San Jose, CA. I love making music and sound for dance, playing in bands and other musical settings, making records, and making the show “go”, whatever it is.
I’ve worked as a music director for dance, taught music technology and audio engineering, recorded rock bands and professional orchestras, mixed sound for hundreds of music, theater and dance performances.
I’ve played in symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, pit orchestras, Balinese gamelans, and West African drumming groups. Right now I play in the bands Piedmont and Faster Forward. I also play with the San Jose Wind Symphony and gig around the bay area.
…and I worry the fun police are going to show up any minute and put an end to all this!
I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Sound Design and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Music both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
